Walking in Delhi

Walking in Delhi is a pleasure, even more so if it's in Central Delhi. I'm a regular user of the metro network and would like to clarify a few things; sorry if they have already been pointed out here before.

The monument Qutub Minar is much closer to the Saket metro station than the Qutub Minar Metro Station. In my opinion, if you like walking, you can walk to the Qutub Minar or catch an Auto Rickshaw from outside the station. The Qutub Minar station has been built off the way and I have no clue why they chose to name it so, probably because they are no other nearby landmarks. It's a very long walk from the Qutub Minar Metro station.

2. There is no station called Lodhi Colony. If you want to see Lodi Gardens, which I think is a must see for anyone visiting or living in Delhi, probably one of the most well maintained and beautiful gardens in the country; with amazing undulating land. The nearest station is Jor Bagh (Yellow Line), from which a walk to Lodi Gardens is barely 10minutes to the most. If you're coming from the Violet Line, then the nearest station is Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium or Khan Market, which is again a close to 10-15minute walk to Lodi Gardens. Getting off at Khan Market will take you through Delhi's upscale/posh area, where you can spot expats and Delhi's who's who. Khan Market is also one of the most expensive commercial real estate in the world.

Tourist passes are also available at the counters, so feel free to make best use of them if you plan to travel around alot in the Metro.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any questions regarding getting around in Delhi Metro!
